that moment when you want to comment on an album and you realize it doesn't have a review :/ brilliant album, 'is it honest?' is easily one of my favorite Woods songs. The 3.3 average is misleading, it's easily some of the best material this band has to offer. will come up with a better soundoff later!

I liked Bend Beyond for its 60s psychedelic pop sound but not everything worked for me in here. Sometimes it stepped over the line of sounding too much like other artists such as The Zombies or The Beatles and that's fine but without much distinction, it's hard for me to really get involved in Woods as a group. An example of this would be the track 'Lily' for example. Other times, Woods have some guitar solos in here that sound, to me, really average and more melody driven than outspoken and they come across to me as a little lackluster. So, while I liked the feel of Bend Beyond, I didn't feel they put enough of themselves into these tracks to really stand out in the psychedelic pop genre. I still thought it was good and they really nail this kind of sound but I felt some of their previous albums just did more in terms of having a throw-back sound with a modern feel.
