Ranking Steely Dan albums not named Aja is a Herculean task, but I'm tempted to say that this is fourth best SD after the aforementioned, Pretzel Logic, and Katy Lied.

For my money, this is just edged out by Aja - an album that should be prescribed to sufferers of depression. It's hard to be bummed out whenever it's on, it's just such a feel-good time.

When you do your own best of..you can put the tracks in an order that will show them in a different light..it’s all personal preference of course but my best of turned out just great to me way better than the commercial offerings of this bands best of lps
