Death Magnetic's surely better than this, despite the poor production/mixing whatever it was quality. All Nightmare Long is awesome.

album is all sorts of awful, but i kinda admire it purely for the fact that it perfectly depects what state the band was in at the time.



although, i am ashamed to admit that there was a point where i liked this album much more than my current rating suggests.

I actually haven't heard this album yet, and I think it's going to be the next Metallica record I'll pick up - not because I've heard anything good about it. At all. Just because everyone keeps saying it's so darn bad. It makes me hope that maybe I'll like it. Just to be kinda Hipster-like for once, for my own entertainment.
