nice review. but i have to disagree with you on one thing, dane cook is not funny

I absolutely adore Weird Al, and this album let me down horribly. It had some funny songs, but it just doesn't feel un to par with his other work to me. While I disagree with some of your ratings, well-made review.

I just got this not having heard much of his stuff before other than his most famous songs. Some stuff here is pretty funny, then some not so much like Canadian Idiot. Confessions is pretty damn funny and of course, Trapped in the Drive-Thru. Good album. This Message Edited On 10.15.06

A few things I wowuld like to add for the review, like the track "Close But No Cigar" is a very recognizable parody of Cake, which you could tell by the way it uses the trumpet, vibraslap, and has the same pace as "Short Skirt Long Jacket". Also "I'll Sue Ya" could also be drawn from RATM. Good review still!

Couldnt stop laughing when I heard White and Nerdy. Music video is just as funny. "I dont wear a grill, but I still wear braces" Classic

Canadian Idiot is a pretty shitty song. I heard the whole cd at musicworld and it was a huge let down. I only like 2 songs.

I think white n nerdy was clever, but seriously, for how long can this guy keep going. Hes past his prime. I just feel like i dont have time to sit down n laugh to his shit, id rather staple my hand to a wall, his forced jokes drive me crazy. And for the guy who said quoting Napoleon Dynamite has killed it for him, I can no long watch it, or RAW, or Delerious, my friends have well and truly destroyed every comedic classic i have ever watched.... Oh, and Dane Cook has his moments, but he sounds like he snorts speed seconds before he goes on stage, someone needs to stop him and say "Calm down, its ok".

he is not past his prime, there's a whole underground of parody fans, and he's just the number one parody artist ever, but I agree with you on Dane Cook, someone's gotta get that man in a program

:O how dare you

Oh what I wouldn't give to hear the night santa went crazy instead of the bloody carols that are playing everywhere.

yeah i am getting sick of those. I cannot fully judge this album though seeing as I only own 9 of the tracks :-/

I started off hating Dane Cook, but after watching his live show again, I got accustomed to his aggresive comedy style. Boy was it ever funny. I laughed so hard, I almost busted a gut, but I can see where people may think he's unfunny.
As for Weird Al, White and Nerdy is the only song I've heard off of this and it's funny as all hell.

Good review. "Ill sue ya!" Took the style of "Rage against the machine." I forgot where exactly I saw that. IT sounds a lot like them also, and the chorus is like the chorus is one of their songs also, I forgot which one. I think it might've been "Bulls of PArade."

Bombtrack chorus vocal pattern. The prechorus guitar part is also like one of the prechorus riffs from Killing in the Name. The verse is similar to the Bombtrack verse, too, just w/ wah... I think.

i got this cd for my friend for christmas and it's funny at times but sometimes he just annoys me sooo much

Dane Cook is funny, but not nearly as funny as he used to be. Everyone that hates him now should pick up his first two albums Harmful if Swallowed and Retaliation. Trust me, he was good before he got all the exposure and got more cocky than confident.
