An amazing album, this is the album that got me into black metal. I owe it a lot.

My first BM album... This brings back memories, haha.

Definately their best album, and I really like the last two (original last two!) tracks... The covers are nice, but they interrupt the flow of the album for me, so I generally stop after, 'Inno A Satana'.

Yeah I never liked the bonus tracks that much either. They really mess up the flow of the album.

ShadowsFallen, I noticed that you said this caught Candlelights attention, however Emperor where signed to Century Media Black, Candlelight has only reissued all their stuff.

Yes, most likely an error on the part of wherever I got my info from. This is an extremely old review too, I should really re-write this.

Classic album, this is what makes Emperor one of my favorite bands. Along with Prometheus.

I picked this album up yesterday. A great piece of Black Metal but still not as good as Old Man's Child or Enslaved. A fine review by ShadowsFallen once again.

So anyway, I haven't listened to all of this yet, but "A Fine Day to Die" is simply f*cking mindblowing.

Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk.

This album is amateurish kid stuff compared to it.

so I just ordered this from an online store a couple minutes ago.

I hope to get it soon, because this will be one of my first real black metal albums, I never seem to be able to get into that genre, so this'll help me try, I think.

Fuck, I got this and I think I need more black metal. This Message Edited On 05.11.07
