"when it comes to non metal/punk this site is a bit of a joke sadly, I have to add albums almost every day"
i'm constantly amazed. Diddy's No Way Out is in the top 20 highest selling hip hop records but doesn't even have a review on here. meanwhile, the new Defeater album is gonna have one before it drops lol

Are we calling him an abuser based off of Leaving Neverland? Cause people are poking holes all through it.
Edit: Yeah this site leaves a lot to be desired as far non-rockist music. Like it has a decent hip hop presence but even that is behind. If it's not a landmark or very modern release, people will seldom acknowledge eletronic, pop, r&b, etc. I love Sput so much so I want to see it flourish in all aspects.

I mean I like that obscure black and death metal albums can get attention here but then it drives me crazy that like 5 people on this site listen to new wave and it was one of the most successful genres in history. rnb, soul and funk are basically nonexistent here and it's a damn shame that there are people who listen to thousands of albums and never listen to some of these monumental genres that defined their era. disco too, I know people hate disco for some reason but there's a ton of incredible stuff with top notch musicianship and rhythm that no one cares to try. hip-hop is okay for new stuff, but most of the old stuff exists here mostly due to a handful of users like drifter discovalante and I.

'Pretty sure MJ didn't either tbh '
agreed, despite suspicions I have no evidence on the matter and I'm not going to listen to media aimed at defaming his legacy so many years after his death. at this point it will always be an unknown, all I know is he was an untouchable talent with his craft and his music is bomb

it's this weird internet meme that many ppl internalized. they hear ppl saying disco sucks and just follow that. i bet they couldn't name a single disco record

I always recommend the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, it's a great entry point. The movie on the other hand, gets dark fast lol

This site isn't a good sample of the general demographic, it clearly skews younger, whiter, nerdier, lonelier, metal-er.
As for Jackson, I think he diddled the kids, but I don't have evidence, just a hunch. But still, the man made Thriller. But, he also stole from Quincy Jones. I prefer Prince anyway.

10 years ago it skewed younger, whiter, nerdier, lonelier, indie-er so consider us lucky now

definitely a huge come up for metal on here. remember the days when protest the hero, BTBAM and dilinger (and opeth ofc) were basically the only metal covered on here

I’m not one for mental gymnastics, if you like a song you like a song, I’m not gonna punish myself for the evil actions of some other individual.

'it's this weird internet meme that many ppl internalized. they hear ppl saying disco sucks and just follow that. i bet they couldn't name a single disco record'
exactly. well, I get that in the 70's disco quickly became an oversaturated genre and people wanted more rock after the disco fad, thus stuff like Black Sabbath took over and the 'disco sucks' mantra was born. But disco mostly had a very high standard of quality in terms of musicianship, if anything it has some of the tightest and grooviest rhythms in any genre. I especially love the lavish string accompaniment that's usually part of the sound. lots of great rhythm guitar too.
I am fine with this place being metal centric though, as it's hard to get my metal fix anywhere else and people irl are generally not very interested in extremely lo-fi atmospheric black metal and such. I've found most of my metal here

Theres holes all throughout that story. One the families where getting sued for 800 grand for a business deal gone wrong then daddddaaaaa He remembers he was abused. What a coincidence. Also said he was abused in a place that didnt even exist at the time the other dude actually got thrown out when he first tried to sue as they found out he was selling a book. The court asked for emails and he had sent one to him mother asking 'Did this happen?' in a story printed about himsellf (hed weirdly been emailing himself every Jacko alleged story in teh press) and she said 'No definitely not' and he used it anyway. And Like how dumb would you have to be to put this kid as your lead defendent in court if youd been bumming him? The top lawyers in the states ffsT here where tons of others they could have led with.
Jacko may well be a diddler but those 2 are lying. I finished that doco thinking Jacko was the WORST Pos ever, After about an hour of looking at the other side of it it was quite obvious but most people wont go inti that after a 4hr one sided brain washing.

I don’t know what’s more unforgivable. Smashing kids up the arse or ‘The Girl is Mine’
