lol what a joke. this is a band that took elementary school stories of pirates and detectives and tried to make them into songs that are "hardcore". A band whose lead singer dances around in his little sister's pants on stage like he's either having a seizure, or giving birth to a baby as ugly as he is. We could sum up Senses Fail as a gay band trying to show they're scene kid fans that their original by writing gay songs about things our kindergarden teachers used to read to us during naptime. lame/10

Hardcore/screamo to me is along the lines of Circle Takes The Square, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Page 99, The Great redneck hope, etc.

Someone back me up here...

I hate it when people just name drop bands.

Circle Takes the Square seems to pop up in every single screamo/emo discussion. Just because some "hardcore" true emo loving people state that, it doesn't necessarily mean people should name drop the same bands constantly just so they don't get bashed.

Pretty lame in my opinion. I used to categorize music really intensely before. But once I got into college, I just realized how ridiculous and a waste of time it was. Take music for what it is. As long as you have a broad taste in music it doesn't matter what you like to listen too. Because you're educated about your music, and you know what classic rock is, what jazz is, what prog rock is, etc.

^^ I like how untrue that is.

I saw them back in 2005 and they were pretty tight. Maybe they've worsened ever since Buddy relapsed?

dammit, i forgot how to quote.

oh well, all i have to say is names, right?

REfan001, if you had a band, i'm sure it would suck. Senses Fail has very apparent talent, check out their newer stuff if you doubt that.

i enjoy this album, but this is probably the worst of the reviews i've seen by you bro. it's very vague. I know you can do better ;)

and i would definitely not call senses fail pop punk.

Nostalgic? yes. Hella good? Yes. Many tracks still good to me including Buried A Lie, Choke On This, NJ Falls Into The NJ, Irony, and Slow Dance.

This is a really good CD. Lots of good hooks and a lot of good lyrics. Buddy's vocals are nice, and the music grabs you by the balls (especially Rum Is For Drinking, Not For Burning).
And come on...there's a pirate song on here. That's amazing.
