i mean the drum performance is better maybe he does more kick drum flourishes which makes it sound like old LoG but they still sound wimpy in the mix and that was always a high point of their sound D:

I only hope Cruz took some influence from Adler on this record. He's very talented, but the last couple of albums have just sounded like he's playing to the music rather than enhancing it with something signature. Idc if that signature is forged, I just want some crazy double kick groove that wilds out a little.

Man I hope so, brother. I've been listening to them for close to 20 years now. Going off my last.fm data and they are #4 in my all-time listens. They have one of the strongest runs of albums I've come across (Palaces, Ashes, Sacrament, and Wrath) and I'm dying to hear something mimicking that old sort of aggression.

I know about the band but have never listened to a single song. I also know Randy Blythe is a cool dude, so because of that and this review Hawks I will give it a listen when it comes out.

I am pretty sure I have heard their first 4-5 albums. My favorite track is still "Laid To Rest"

"Say who gives a FUCK!!!"

I have their discography on my ipod. Gotta add this to the list and start the chronological listen

Embers is my favorite song of theirs which is weird cause I'm not really into deftones.

I'll get around to this one, but ever since Wrath (excluded Sturm und Drang which is legit), I've found that every Lamb of God album is basically more "One of the Lamb of God Albums of All Time" than the previous. So my expectations aren't super high.

Not quite sure what to think about the singles, but I appreciate them adding some new flavor to their sound. I haven't enjoyed a Lamb of God album since Sturm Und Drang so I look forward to hearing this one.
