IMO the end of falling snow is the best part of the album
Mhm. I just made a CD for a woman I'm meeting up with again this week, and made "Falling Snow" the opener. She's into all styles of music.

She likes Between the Buried and Me.

my gf likes a lot of metal and isn't a scene chick. She likes these guys, Opeth, some thrash, Tool, quite a bit of folk metal, etc

Lemme wait 'til the next Wacken, snatch some 50.000 up of them and ship them over. We have too many people on dense space here anyway.

I have the local French/German black metal scene right around the corner. Metal is everywhere here. Hell, meanwhile even "normal people" listen to 'harsh' music.
