That run of Dan's Love Song, Bodhidharma, and Hallelujah kind of kill this album for me unfortunately :/

Bruh....Bodhidharma is the best track they've ever done lol.

Maybe if it wasn't bookended by those two, but the clunky transitions felt clunkier to me as a result, idk

My Garden is the highlight for me with Bodhidharma a close second

I actually love Hallelujah for how it connects that last 3 track sequence (Bodhidharma - Hallelujah - The Reply). The way these tracks sort of share progressions and chords, just the overall feeling of bittersweetness too. What a legendary sequence it is for me.
Other than that, I believe this is an important album for modern black metal and black metal adjacent music. If there's any album I'd potentially refer to as this decade's Sunbather, this would be it for now.

didnt expect the first song to be metalcore, huh

Most of the album involves some mix of metalcore/skramz/hardcore. Good stuff

Okay I really don't vibe with these vocals sadly. Also has to do with the production, sounds like I am somewhere inside the vocalists throat, not in a good way. I can basically feel the spit in my face.
Musically very interesting although additionally, wtf is that blast beat indie interlude in track 1. Instrumentally this is really cool though

dont think i like this as much as their first album, they've dumped a whole lot of their black metal connections but good stuff
