Only into their Valley and Kin albums but their live show is really good. Their sound guy knows what the hell he’s doing. Absolutely brutal. One of the more intense live bands going.

Agreed on all points. One of my active favorites.

Opener might be my favorite here. Just gets me so juiced. That drop in after the intro reminds me of Shug in the best way

I prefer the Valley/Kin era just because they do melodic very well and I'm not as much of a Deathcore/Death Metal guy. But this is probably their best album even despite that. This shit makes me wanna destroy everything in sight.

Tried listening to Somatic Defilement again. I hated it back then and it's still meh now. This is Exile probably their best pre-The Valley album.

Gotta bump to a 4, I can look (or listen lmao) past the production on this one. I never really considered a GOAT for deathcore as everyone kinda has their own approach, but I think Bozeman is absolutely deserving of that title at this point. Obscenely good range, ugh

The amount of pain I feel listening to this album is just right. I love how chunky everything sounds.

this really is not doing much for me on the first few listens. hopefully it is a grower. i appreciate the shear heaviness but that heaviness relies entirely on the drums and vocals and the riffs are rather dull.

i'm warming up to this a little bit. apparently listening through earbuds changes the experience significantly for the better. i think that the comparisons to this is exile don't really pass muster though. i think that HID is way closer to the self-titled album (an album that i have always loved) but without the same melodic pleading. i think that the focus on "heavy" killed a lot of the guitar noodling. either way this deserves a hell yeah.

Album is a heavy chug fiesta but they forgot to actually write any memorable riffs
