new track is definitely not for me, concerned with the new direction but if the next album's a skip that's ok

I thought Holy Hell struck the right balance for more mainstream appeal but they have just pivoted too far now.

Zero personality to the new song. As generic as a rock/metal band could get.

Band has been hopping from subgenre to subgenre based on what’s hot for literally 15 years now, idk what yall were expecting

Ever notice in the post Tom Searle era, all their chorus's use a simple 1 or 2 bar vocal phrasing in an AAB or AAAB pattern. Every single time.

Regardless of how you feel about them, it’s pretty undeniable that they actually led the charge of what was popular from 2014-2018.

I have a take thatll get me lynched: Holy hell was kind of better than All our gods, that albums grown off me massively outside of two or three tracks

I am not the greatest fan of AOGHAU either, but I think there are a few stellar tracks. (Nihilist, Gone With The Wind, Gravity, All Love Is Lost, Memento Mori.) I don't need the other tracks tbh, some of them are just rehashes of older tracks. (A Match Made in Heaven = Gravedigger.) Still better than Holy Hell imo, but hey, more power to you

I love you bb but I don’t agree with this take at all. All that mid-2010s architects stuff is just this or the apocalypse/ABR riff biting with comeback kid choruses and Sam’s signature “BLEEECH” thing he does isn’t even “his”, he just made it popular in metalcore.
