WDaDU has definitely been the biggest leap in my ranking... ever since making my video on it, I've really come to appreciate it more and more over time
Edit: damn pagebreak has left my ranking in the previous page, lol

Good ranking, probably the same top 5 albums in a different order for me. I’d also have Black Clouds and the self titled higher.

Yeah, that's fair. Black Clouds is one of those albums that I desperately wish I could rate higher because of how brilliant the highlights are, but it's always been held back by some of the issues I addressed about that era of DT earlier. But man... that one-two finishing punch of The Best of Times and Count of Tuscany is worth the price of admission alone

I've been a little slow with my Youtube output these days, but I'm planning on getting back into it soon

You might make some old heads upset with ToT so low. Very interesting ranking though! The debut in the top half is definitely something you don’t see too often.

train of thought and black clouds not even being top 10 really hurts my heart
still working on my own ranking as i complete my discog run... on relisten i have distance and view much higher than i initially thought

@ Titan re Outcry: it’s a great song! 3.5/5 for me. Probably my least favorite chorus on the album. Lost Not Forgotten on the other hand? Chef’s kiss.
@ Veldin - I think the discourse surrounding SC is pretty consistently polarizing. Enemies Pt. 1 is a discog classic, but Dark Eternal Night is embarrassing. The uneven quality of songs per album does definitely define the mid 00’s era.

Thanks Koris! I’ll definitely check out your vid on Awake as well bc I don’t seem to “get it” like everyone else. I WANT to love it, but it didn’t resonate with me after 5 or so listens. I plan on returning to it and really chewing on Awake for awhile.
@meborphus- the problem is I like Dark Eternal Night lol Idk, like yeah the first minute or two of nu-Metal stylings is silly, but I like the chorus and think the lyrics are fun (reminds me of Iron Maiden). Half the time I think the album and the albums of that era are cringey, but other times I’m like, “I’m having a lot of fun”. I think Octavarium and now Systematic Chaos are the first albums in their discog where I’m starting to feel like there’s a cheesiness that goes beyond yr typical Prog cheese and enters into popular metal cheese. I also felt that with As I Am, but damn that song is fun lol. Sorry long rant

I’m definitely gonna jam Liquid Tension Experiment bc I love the tracks I’ve heard and I’ll probably jam Petruccis solo work bc there’s only two albums (and a live album with Rudess), but is James LaBries solo albums and Mullmuzzer albums worth checking out?

LTE's albums get boring quickly for me, therefore, I will take LaBrie's solo albums over them every day of the week. Also, Marco Sfogli is his guitarist and the guy is dynamite.

The great thing about LTE is they don't have to let James sing, sooo
Yea, better than DT at a certain point. The wank can be a bit much sometimes tbf, I am not always in LTE mood

I'm not pretty sure about my definitive ranking of the albums of the band Titan.
Still, I think I can show you what is probably my ranking at the moment.
1 - Scenes From A Memory
2- Awake
3 - Images And Words
4 - Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence
5 - Train Of Thought
6 - Black Clouds & Silver Linings
7 - Falling Into Infinity
8 - Octavarium
9 - A Dramatic Turn Of Events
10 - Distance Over Time
11 - A View From The Top Of The World
12 - Systematic Chaos
13 - Dream Theater
14 - The Astonishing
15 - When Dream And Day Unite
I'm listening to Parasomnia in this moment, so I canot rate it yet. Probably it will be put sometnig between Black Clouds & Silver Linings and A View From The Top Of The World. I think it can be considered a kind of a fresh air to the band.
11 to 15 are also somewhat interchangeable.
I don't put here A Change Of Seasons because thecnically it isn't a regular album but an EP. For me as it is like to belonds to Images And Words. So, I love it and it belongs to the top of their discogarphy.

I haven't heard everything by this band
but Awake is definitely the best
and Train of Thought/Astonishing are definitely the worst

I disagree Pika. Train of Thought is a great album. Very heavy and very umble, paraphrasing the name of the debut album of Uriah Heep.
