Eh fuck it, I’ve been listening to it a ton these last few days… fuck calling it an EP, I know it’s early but AOTY so far imo. I think Preachers Daughter has higher highs but I really think this is a lot more consistent. Loving this.

I mean, it’s like I really wanted more dark soundscapes like ptolemaea from her, and I feel like that’s what got. Now, trim it up a little and add some more harsh vocals and we’re really gonna be cooking but I fucking love this for now

just kidding, I do like a lot of art house films but there’s more than a few that just get way too up their own ass and I end up hating it. Prime example for me is Killing of a Sacred Deer. Bad acting, terrible dialogue, horrifically paced… great cinematography. That shit just sucks, I don’t care what the underlying message is, I didn’t enjoy watching it and literally nothing stuck out to me aside from how good it looked.
Possession sucks too, and I’m really upset to say that because it was hyped to hell for me.

yeah i tried watching possession, but thought it was absolutely exhausting...Killing of sacred deer was fine i thought, but people differ, just like how you like this EP while i hated it

The actual ambient/drone shit on this is very unrewarding. It doesn't go anywhere with no payoff.

I like it this way, it’s like life: it doesn’t go anywhere with no payoff.

I personally disagree on that. I find life quite rewarding.

Man this album got such a unique vibe... It has that existential bleakness of True Detective Season 1. One of the best art things I've heard in a long time. This ain't just music... It's an hour of dark contemplation turned into music. Apathy, sadness, anguish, grief, despair, realization of the absurdity of life and the futile attempts to rebel against it...
"I contemplate the moment in the garden... The idea of allowing your own crucifixion."
