i should say the whole zermatt area is filled with great mountains

obviously the matterhorn, monte rosa/dufourspitze, dom, weisshorn, lyskamm, dente blanche, taschhorn, etc

I've only been to Mont Blanc but I'd love to visit more of them.

my mountaineering career only got to about 12,000 feet (Wind River range in Wyoming) before I graduated college and had to get a day job.

i'm partial to the entire jungfrau region tbh, shoutout to the silberhorn for being the most ridiculously mountain looking mountain

No matter how many bm and dm albums I listen to that are hyped on Sputnik, I almost always end up getting bored. On the third track and the mix sounds great and all the elements are solid but fuck me it just all sounds the same to me

Yeah this is alright but kinda samey for sure. Stylistically, it's up my alley but not enough variation in the songwriting for me

Yeah no shit, I did. I don’t just write off every metal album, I love a great deal of albums in both dm and bm, I just have to look harder. Seems like the vast majority of bm and (especially) dm albums that drop over the years get showered with praise on Sputnik, no matter how homogeneous they sound. I’ll always give things a fair chance tho

This has actually been growing on me, the lead melodies and acoustic guitar work is what keeps me coming back.

this goes so hard. big icicle riffs. real crampon hours up in here, with a few quiet moments to stop and look around.

this is pretty damn good, a little too clean and doesnt really take any risks, but its super well executed. drummer and vocalist are both killer. ill need to check the previous albums
