"Pretty damn sure if you did a poll asking the fans what the top 3 maiden albums are, neither piece of mind nor killers would be on there ;)"

and this wouldn't even sniff the top 5

Why does popularity matter to you? I dont care if Killers isnt popular with most fans I just care that it resonates with me the most.

I even overlooked the artwork on this one which on further observations is fucking quality.

Just as good as I remembered. Out of the Shadows and Lord of Light are kind of weak but the rest of this disc is just fantastic. Unless Final Frontier or Book of Souls end up topping this, this will easily be the best 2000s/2010s record of theirs for me. Not even close

sooo much better than Final Frontier and Book of Souls, but for me still a little behind brave new World. That said, The Longest Day is absolute top tier Maiden and possibly their best song since at least Fear of the Dark.

😍....

Dance of Death doesn't do it for me. But thin line is VASTLY underrated and wicker man is also up there with the greats!

BTW: what's your take on Garrett? Retain or fire him?

Garrett is not the right guy to lead a bunch of thugs. I think he's a great football guy and is worthy of a high position in any organization. Coaching isn't that place though...

With all the mediocrity, I still like the guy. Move him to the front office or something.
