Hanging Gardens was pretty immediate for me but I'm kinda struggling with this one. Definitely still good stuff though. I really gotta get more into these guys.

yeah, this has been the hardest to tackle thus far
I've heard Aquatic, Hanging Gardens, Drive By, Aether & Travel, which were all easier to digest (rough order of current preference) and their epic live album "Athenaeum, Homebush, Quay & Raab" stands as their peak

Think I'm gonna go for Aquatic next.

if the rest of their stuff is like this then i'm 100% done. idk why i even played this 3 whole times, prob because it's fine enough to do work on the computer to, but this is the biggest yawn of 2024 bnm, for me. last few minutes are gorgeous tho, maybe i'll just cut those out and make it into a short custom piano track

gyro this has way less of a meditative groove than a lot of their stuff / it's way more (purposefully?) obtuse to my ears
a lot of their material focuses on very gradual subtle builds and repetition

oh but those gorgeous moments of slight strain in the many transitional moments here are just divine team, cast your ears inwards

Having given this a few more listens I think it might be their best since Chemist.

Haven't got round to this one, might squeeze it in before the end of the year
