I love this album for many reasons, but when you have to go into the concept, the meta-commentary, his exposing of the artifice of the concept album and the mechanisms behind it (specifically with the contrast of The Magician the the closer), you've already lost.

He didn't seem to actually go into the room with the stage at any point during the concert, he just stayed by the outside bar, so maybe he is a wanker
(kidding of course...well about the wanker part, it was kinda weird he didn't go to the stage room cuz Daryl was killin' it)

Steered clear of this album last year cause I assumed it wouldn't be my thing, but it turns out to be a lot of fun. Haven't been this engaged with vocals & lyrics in a while.
It is also exhausting and a bit too much but that's part of the package I guess
