Pale Spectator was the highlight of the show for me. The part where it gets really quiet and then cuts into Grey Rubble was so alarming it was a heart attack in the best possible way. Baby's In A Thundercloud was great live two. The drone they play when they came out for about ten minutes wasn't my favorite but I get what they were trying to accomplish. Would've been nice to see Piss Crowns since I see they are playing it on some sets and not others but the show was incredible. Only band I can compare it to would be seeing Swans last year. I was right up front for both

I didn't pay much attention to the bass work on the new album but hearing each of those songs live it was impossible not to focus on the melodic qualities the bass brings to these new tracks especially.

I went alone...but I brought some fungi friends along with me that I ate not so discretely in from of like 800 people who all seemed to be looking at me at the same time

It sucks big time. I’ve got tickets for Spring, I was so happy to buy them I almost pissed myself. I hope they’ll recover by then or else I’ll piss myself for real.

Surprised by the cooler reception to this on here, for me this is their best post-reunion album.

RYM agrees. I need to spin it more, one way or another.

Finally got to their show, everything I heard is true: it’s uplifting, it’s crushing, it’s beautiful, all at once. Those drums in Pale Spectator really nailed me to the floor, and the bass in Piss Crowns was as badass as it could be. I really hoped to hear Moya, as it’s included in some of their recent sets, but by the end I didn’t miss anything. It was perfect, closed circle.
