Personal favorite is Transfiguration, it’s wild to me that evidently he’s insecure about his clean vocals because he sounds amazing on that one and Bodega Head

Bodega Head is amazing
I'm currently on their Spotify, it's interesting there's only one song from this album in their top 10, and it's Palo Santo

Yeah the streaming numbers for this album are quite pitiful.
Truly a hidden gem this one

Blue burned the orange black
Push it down, hollowed out
I felt like a heart attack
Severing everything again
Sky above obsidian
Flowers where I lay my head to rest
Withering in spite of me
Safe beneath the olive tree
I would be so down for more clean vocals on any future State Faults record. To me this is honestly probably the best vocal delivery on the entire album. Leviathan still has such a mind blowing solo to me too. Goddamn man, I’ll go like a few weeks without listening to this but then immediately realizing how fucking goated it is by the time I hit that track.
Literally a top 5 album oat, I remember reading this review and thinking “nah clairvoyant was overhyped, this is probably good but nothing too crazy.” and then i heard maybe the best screamo record of all time

Definitely the best screamo album of all-time!

I mean if someone asked me point blank “what is the best screamo album?” I would say this. If I really sit down and like, game it out, I can think of a few that I think are around the same level.
But this one is so insanely varied, the pull so many different influences without ever sounding disjointed.

Oh, there are definitely some that are around the same level. The genre has tons of classics, but this album is the full package, bar none.

"Literally a top 5 album oat, I remember reading this review and thinking “nah clairvoyant was overhyped, this is probably good but nothing too crazy.” and then i heard maybe the best screamo record of all time" (2)
Never found Clairvoyant to be overhyped tho, it is an amazing record of hight caliber, but how they managed to raise the bar even further baffles the shit out of me. Topping a record like Clairvoyant is for most bands a near impossible feat but these guys just decided to release an all time record for the ages
"But this one is so insanely varied, the pull so many different influences without ever sounding disjointed." (2) This is one of the reasons why i consider it to be an oat screamo record or record period. Each song, performance and everything on this is so perfectly crafted and put together

i knew this was a 5 on the second run through the middle section, at the tapping section of divinations

Yeah I’ve said it a bunch before but the middle of this record is beyond peak, that little run from Leviathan thru Transfiguration could be its own album and it’d still be a 5

Yeah this is like
Beyond the shadow of a doubt the most personable and pleasantly uncomfortable I've ever felt jamming a screamo album
Was jamming No Gospel for the first time in a minute and whew baby did it feel like discovering music again

Yeah man it's hard to believe No Gospel was made by human hands
