im gonna say something very controversial yet very brave. as much as i love the production and programming i feel like some of his melodies sound like stock music. like some of the songs sound like what you would hear in customer service hold music in germany.
luckily theres enough good stuff that i dont really mind but the actual music he makes doesnt always grab me like some of my favorite techno does..

So controversial, so brave! What a trailblazer! ...
okay so admittedly this does have more stock melody flava than I've heard from him before, or at least I'd not noticed up until this point in his discog, hmm

yeah per the review, this is his least melody-orientated record probably ever and what it does give in that dept is v diffuse
not a criticism i can get at all on board with for the rest of his discog though. Pool and the Shred highlights in particular are packed with strong melodies, both are v engaging in that department and i'd consider this a key factor to his success

yeah i meant mainly this release. so far it hasn’t really grabbed me like pool did.

I need to dive into his discog. I listened to the snowy looking album a while back and wasn't in the mood. Having been enjoying this one a lot. Sounds like Pool is the next one to check.

Pool is like a hike through a rainforest, this one’s more like chillaxin on the beach
Both are very very gud

Yep - equally as great in different ways. Depends on mood which one I prefer listening to.

Pool is way better. This is good but has no standout bangers

I'd argue songs like Daytime Gamer, Holzl Was A Dancer, and Vitamin 313 are all bangers bit I guess that depends what you're looking for out of Skee's music

They just lack the busy, ever changing drumpatterns and effects that I loved on his previous albums. The production on here is pretty basic for him. This is almost lounge music which doesn't mean it's bad yeah it's just less interesting to me and not something I'd come back to often

it's a bit more chill, but basic? nah. incredible detail here

Finally getting around to reading this review in full.
"...wrapping up with the ambient wind-down of "Terminal Z". The album could just as easily have thrown in the towel there to relatively low dismay, but instead it awards itself an encore commencing with the sole showstopper "Hölzl Was a Dancer"
I think I had this exact thought on my first few listens, thank you for putting words to it. I think that's the one reason I haven't 5'd this yet, that weird "encore" effect after Terminal Z.
