Niege is so damn adorable

He's the musical embodiment of innocent kitten

Also this is incredibly joyful and ethereal even by Alcest standards, idk if I personally like it as much as Kodama or even Souvenirs but goddamn if it isn't the happiest thing i've heard this year

Least immediate? This is easily the most immediate of their heavier releases I think. There’s not much screaming and the instrumentals are gorgeous

i think what they were trying to say rather than 'less immediate' is that the subtleties take a bit longer to digest - which despite being instrumentally immediate it's true there's more density to this than it lets on. listened twice today and noticed things i didn't on the initial listens.

Jumelle & L'Envol are Top 5 Alcest. Album is so good I'm still in disbelief. Can't be they topped Kodama and Souvenirs...

kodama (album) is still #1 for me but jumelle is something special. EXTRA special bc the music video was filmed in the best place on earth

After arguably the worst shift of my life yesterday hearing this today has been incredibly calming.

Very affirming sounds I listened while watching the kids splashing in the kiddie pool

@Balls reading your post after looking at your avatar made me chuckle (excuse me). I pictured you listening to this in your car completely pissed off and exhausted like a sitcom drama scene. This album could pefectly act as a mind trouble lifter.

this is really great as expected and really love how bright/uplifting it is but you are smoking straight crack rocks if you think this is better than ecailles de lune. still excited to jam this more though lol

Frost, for other albums yes. This gave me some clarity and peace for a moment. I needed that.
