interesting, I had a bit of trouble rating this actually. I at minimum like every song here, it's super consistent but feels weirdly underwhelming whenever I get to the end. can't in good conscience rate it higher than Lilac, as messy as it is that album's a lot more emotionally compelling than this one

Only jammed this once, but actually really enjoyed it. I'll jam again and see if it holds. Really did take me back more than their other post-reunion albums, so it's interesting that you reference them being snubbed by nostalgia movements.

it def pays tribute to their roots really well. I just... wish it did a little more? it's tough with this band because In Currents set such a goddamn high watermark I feel like my standards for everything since are impossibly high
