"One Nation Under A Groove" is a great album with one exception:"Cholly(Funk Getting Ready To Roll!). The phrase,

"Funk Getting Ready To Roll" can be heard on the "Quazar"

song, "Funk N Roll (Dancin' In The Funkshine"). I know that the late great Glenn Goins (1954-1978), is turining over in his grave right now.

Not even near their very best, and I think its booty thuis is Funkadelic's most popular album. Shiiit, Hardcore Jollies is way better than this if you want to talk latter day Warner Brothers Funkadelic.

Oh, surely it's an excellent piece of work, but too polished and disco-oriented for me. The FUNKADELIC I love were those of the first three amazing albums, those dirty acid-damaged heavy-guitar funky stuff, y'know...matter of taste

generally agree but they still came out with some great stuff after those first 3, 'who says a funk band' on this thing is one of the most addictive songs of all time

I figure since I've seeing George Clinton next month it's about time I checked this

Only reason I put it off was that I was trying to go in order but fuck it I guess I'm skipping from Verge to this :D
