This album is great, it gives the listener much more insight as to how wide Jeff's vocal range actually was and how he could preform any song amazingly.
As for the reasons for "Forget Her" being taken off the original Grace for "So Real", no is really certain, Jeff apparently gave many reasons for this. It was a very personal song to Jeff, and he didn't want it to be released for the World to hear. Also, he loved the song "So Real", it was one of his favourites on the album.
You should all read the book about Jeff Buckley and his father Tim, its called "Dream Brother" by David Browne, it really helps you to understand Jeff's music and some of reasons for the changes he made to "Grace" before it was released. If anything, reading the book helped me to appreciate his music more, if that was at all possible.

Didn't he die in 97?

Grace has some outstanding tracks, and Buckley was incredible, but I think it's a little overrated...

i finally watched the dvd. its pretty cool. jeff sure was a great artist. you can see just from the few clips of how into the music he was. i found it kinda weird how he did not once mention his dad when he was talking about how he started getting into music. im not sure really how their relationship was

I don't get why Jeff chose "So Real" over "Forget Her". To me, "So Real" is one of the weakest songs on Grace, and "Forget Her" is much better.
i've killed people for saying less. :p
seriously So Real is just about my favorite song on there, Forget Her is amazing but i love SR all too much.
i had the regular edition of this album and decided to get the Legacy one and it is much better, i thought it would be some stupid alt mixes of the same tracks off grace, but it's worth it fer sure.

So Real really is among the better tracks here. Mojo Pin, Hallelujah, Dream Brother and So Real are the best.

^^List needs title track, and I really like Eternal Life.

I'm not a fan of his more "rocking" tunes on Grace.

Excellent, insperational chill out songs, and it remindes me of the 90's. Good enough for me!

THIS JUST IN:
rattle bumps Grace to 5.

1- Blur, Parklife? Much better than Oasis for sure.
2- Electioneering is a fantastic song, worthy of 5 stars, it just has a different vibe to the rest of OK Computer.
3- Hallelujah, 4.5 stars?!!! This is one of the most beautiful songs ever performed, certainly 5.5 stars.
Other than those minor technicalities, great review.

if i can promote headphones for a second. i got grado sr80i and when i listen to this album it's pure bliss. you can hear ever smooth velvety sounds that come out of jeff buckley's voice and it's amazing. sorry just had to give the heads up. classic album. why it has to take american idol for him to be popular in the us is obsurd but any promotion is good promotion .

"Dream Brother" is beyond epic.

I heard the remaster is pretty bad.
How does the quality compare to the original?
