Enjoyable addition to their discography. They've obviously made better albums, but I dig this.

anyone round these parts catch them on tour? I missed the boston show for another concert, but I looked at the setlist and saw they only played 10 songs and then this note:
"Note: Justin came back onstage after Like Rats to apologize to the crowd for what he felt was a bad show. No encore."
I am sure the show crushed. Justin seems way too hard on himself sometimes

I caught them in Europe a few months back. They had lots of technical problems during the first 10 minutes or so.
The sound engineers messed up something with the left side amps and and G.C was unable to hear the drum tracks, so he had to play almost by memory and feeling, but he got pissed because he would get out of rhythm sometimes.
Also Justin's mic produced too loud feedback noise and at some point they stopped the show for a minute to try to fix everything.
Justin made some apology signs and the crowd took it very well, but yeah, I felt he was too hard on himself too. Afterwards they played mostly without issues although the left amps did kept having drum tracks skips.
Even with all these problems it was probably the most intense show I've ever experienced. It was a relatively small venue and it was so loud I could feel the bass all over the place. The frontcrowd (myself included) was vibin so hard that for moments it felt like Justin would put us all down the floor in trance. Crazy show. The setlist was awesome too:
Nero Ringer (both of these suffered from the technical issues the most) Shut Me Down Post Self Dead Head Streetcleaner Veins Weak Flesh Like Rats Spite Crush My Soul Slateman

Sorry for double post but this album has some of the worst Godflesh outings and some of the best in their last decade of music. It's the perfect example of a mixed bag

I think the 8-stringed guitar riffs era of Godflesh is underrated.
