1 - Don't really want to go into the AI vs artist debate but I'm an illustrator and it sucks to see AI on cd covers, especially with this band who used to have gorgeous arts. This one is not even good, looks like pixellated Mickey Mouse in a garbage dump.



2 - Intro is 100% Silent Planet worship



3 - They finally learned to let the instruments breathe. Lot of bangers here, excited to play it again

i just don't get the hype on this yet, maybe i need to give it a couple more listens to understand how this stands out. i mean, agreed on Luhrs' vocals sounding a lot stronger than they have for the previous 3 records (Guardians, Phantom, FIFAP).



as far as the ai art goes in terms of an ethical dilemma, my understanding of the argument is that you're taking money out of the pockets of artists. i personally think it's interesting, but it goes against the grain of the idea that ai should allow us to do less work in order to persue creative endeavors. just my two cents tho.

Actual artists are getting fucked out of opportunities and that's just lame. Support your local artist. They prolly need the money and have prolly spent countless hours cooking up something just for some asshole to be in their DMs trying to haggle prices only to just go and get an AI to do it instead.
