Not sure how this is obnoxious tbh. It's just atmospheric electronic/dream whatever. It's not really over the top in the kind of way that I think of when I hear 'obnoxious'. I could see someone calling it boring, derivative, et al and although I'd very much disagree it'd at least make some sense.

far from a dream fantasy

the long useless unrelated intros leading to unfinished song pieces with one or two random vocal parts thrown in a minute before the song ends is just unbearable. this is the opposite of aesthetic fantasy it's an Anthony Gonzalez glitter mess
'Did he finally make something else that sounds like Dead Cities or is this another ignore?'
ignore

This seems to be marketed as a return to form but not a good one lol dude seems to not be able to replicate his older stuff.

My question is if i love Hurry Up will i like this? I don't really wanna waste my time like the last two haha

I'm warming to it more and more. I've got a lot to listen to at the moment, and I find myself coming back to this most often. The run from Fantasy to Kool Nuit is really doing it for me.

Junk is great. Heaps of fun and an impressive change-up after HUWD. Very underrated album.

Junk is one of the catchiest things I've ever heard and I love it for that

Pitchfork just reviewed this and criticised it for lack of urgency. Why does everything have to be urgent? What's wrong with languid, sprawling and aimless (or at least aim-ambiguous)?
I prefer YoYo's review; score is about right even if he's wrong about Oceans Niagra (the best song here), and Kool Nuit - which is a bit of a monster actually.
