I’ve decided this is def a 3.5 (but I don’t want to see it drop below a 3.5)—it’s not as good as LHL, where the highs are higher, the sound more vibrant, and the structure more appealing. And yet it goes down so easily, this one: they’re hella talented even when I feel they’re not entirely playing to their strengths

do not drop it to a 3.5 it is better than LHL

but also less cute and therefore worse

am halfway through and these are my conclusions

you are all underrating the opener (though it is the worst so far), especially Sunny: into passionate screams which wouldn’t be out-of-place on Deftones’ Ohms is one of the cruellest backhands i have seen in my days, like damn the skramz are overdone but they ain't *that* weak

LOL, the opener is actually one of my favorites and I meant that a compliment, but it all aspects of that seem to be controversial.

8."Diamond's Shining Face" - 2/5 radio rock in it's current form

Lol I’d love to live in a universe where radio rock sounded anything like that song

Didactic Flashing Antidote is v much IT

Only complaint is that I thought it was Didactic Fishing Antidote at first and that just sounds lovely

Ngl I'm not really vibing with this too much. First couple tracks are neat but it kind of loses me after that. The production/mixing feels kind of off to me.
