NoTrap. Fantastic write up. Again. I only heard the single - which I love. This band probably has the most consistent discography in my entire collection, a huge sample size too. Band can do no wrong. When I heard them speak on Sam Dunn’s Extreme Metal episode for the Evolution series I fell in love even more. Thanks again for the write up brother.

For now I'm sitting at a 3.5, but I'm sure I'll come back to this a few more times throughout the year. I think the music is more memorable than it has ever really been, and the album itself is more consistent. I'm not the biggest Enslaved fan, and couldn't tell you which songs go to which album (Except "As Fire Swept Clean the Earth" because it's my favorite song) but I do like this one.

One of the best discographies in the game. Great rev, I'm listening to the first track right now. This is one of the few bands where I can say they successfully changed their sound. I love their more traditional black metal efforts, but that progressive bent is just as enjoyable.

After first listen, yeah, these guys still have it! Probably one of the better albums I've heard to start off this year. We'll see if it grows from here!

Thanks teamster mate, I appreciate it.
The lad's discography is indeed super consistent, had a really good time revisiting it during the week.
Cheers InfernalDeity
Indeed. They achieve a great balance between the two.

Yeah, this fuckin' slaps, as usual with these guys. I think it may wind up being one of my favorites of theirs. It's that good.

I like this even better than Axioma tbh.

“am i the only one who thinks Axioma is one of the weaker ones from the modern era lol”
absolutely not. vertebrae is probably my favorite of theirs and I was fairly disappointed with axioma. like I said earlier they’ve never released a bad album but I wasn’t a huge fan of that one.

is it just me or is this album incredibly dissonant and experimental compared to all their other modern records, maybe their most dissonant sounding album ever.
