Definitely do. Top 5 metal band all time. Top 3 active metal band for me. Most listened to metal band in last 5 years. Im in the top 1% of In Flames listeners in 2022 according to youtube.

I would constantly remain a fan. They only had like 1 maybe 2 new songs in 2022 and still played them a bunch. F(r)iend never gets old.

I've given this a fair going over since release (not something I thought I would be saying about an In Flames album in 2023) and it's definitely on the right track. I think a full return to their roots would have sounded really hollow & disingenuous, so I'll take the melodeath nods here and there, which help to really spice up their modern metal approach.
Not quite a 4, but a strong 3.5. If there is indeed a redemption arc to be found here (I, The Mask was a very stuttering start), then I'm all for it. Used to fuckin' love this band.
