I love Amulet but I otherwise agree. This is awesome and sounds like Circa to me.
Also hey pika! Been a minute

Don’t really hear much that I would call “post hardcore”—- much more 90s worship going on here. Drums bass doing Jane’s Addiction thing, guitars kind of doing nonstop harmony leads like the Eagles… sort of weird mix instrumentally but lucky they have Anthony Green. His genius is making it all sound natural. Even for people saying they don’t like his vocal approach must admit that he is carrying the record.
Does anyone remember Tempe of the Dog? They didn’t like being called a super group either. I think maybe it’s like how Grunge bands had to say “don’t call us grunge” to really be accepted as grunge, so saying “don’t call us a super group is code for WE ARE A SUPER GROUP”

This album fucking blew me away! I expected something decent considering the pedigree of the members, but this stands right beside with the best of circa and Thursday. Hope they continue on as a group at least for a few albums ig Audioslave.

@90m80s you have been doing some major commenting work the past couple weeks. Feel like you have magically appeared in all my threads. I worried you would be coming here to shit on this one.
This album grew into a favorite release of mine for 2022. It is pretty standard fare but I think it is just perfectly executed and catchy.

Feather$ don't take it personally I don't know you or anyone else on here just throwin in on convos not concerned if you feel shit on by opinions you disagree with. plenty of opinions out there I disagree with but I'm not the type to say everyone who disagrees with me is a poseur or fake or idiot or whatever. thanks for noticing me anyway seems like a club of people who mainly only want to talk to the same people who have been on here forever in most threads ive posted in.
about the album, I like it. funny that green wants to get intense over these instrumentations and subdued in other projects where intensity might fit better.

Oh I don’t take it personally at all. Been around here long enough to know better lol. Just based on people’s comments over time you start to get a sense of what they are going to like and dislike and I read you as someone who wouldn’t be impressed with this! Glad you like it!
You described the general club of people about right, but I’ve been around here about a decade not being the most heavy participant and people are generally pretty nice and at the very least witty/funny. It’s a great place for finding music, sites shaped my music taste pretty substantially.

I feel this a bit! Really dig the new track and pretty pumped we are already getting more content ... I hope they give us another full release and the band doesn't peter off as a one-off supergroup release.
