October is the word. To sort of coincide with the North American tour. I would think with all the positive reaction to this they would play some stuff from it on tour. Townshend has been doing a solo acoustic version of Endless Wire at some shows. They were performing the entire thing early on but it wasn't working well at the festival gigs they were playing so they stopped doing it. I would think with material this strong plus the fact that fans will be familiar with it, well, they can at least slip this 11:30 of music into a full Who set somewhere without sacrificing anything. With material this strong I cannot imagine them not playing it. This Message Edited On 08.07.06

This is so good. I'm still in shock that they've come up with stuff this strong. Endless Wire and Mirror Door are my favorites. Roger sounds really good in Mirror Door.

Excellent review John. As I said in the thread, this is much better material than I was initially expecting from the boys these days. They really did a great job so far and I can't wait for the new album and tour.

I myself was expecting good stuff, I enjoyed Old Red Wine and Real Good Looking Boy, but it just sounded like The Who calming down in their older days.

But this stuff sounds like the Who is proving that there not going out without a fight. Zak Starkey does a magnificent job filling in for Keith, the song caught me off guard on my ipod and it was turned up full blast and the drum intro nearly deafened me.

Who likes the intro to Teenage Wasteland?

Cos I don't.
Its an awesome song, but that crawling keybord at the begginnning is just annoying.

Who likes making up Who songs?

There's no Who song called Teenage Wasteland.

However, the intro to Baba O'Riley is pretty sweet.

Teenage Wasteland? Hmm, must be some sort of unreleased song I've never heard before!

Within the last year, The Who have become an obession of mine. I've especially become enthralled with the Ox's amazing bass sound. He was way ahead of his time.
I still have yet to get this album. It's on my long list of must haves.
Thank you for the great review!!
