Over the years a ‘generic wash’ has been applied to this band’s sound…but this is still their fifth or sixth best and at this stage that’s about as good as anyone could expect

Come on, this album is a million times better than the last few decapitated and catharsis. Sounds kike old school MH without bullshit. Good riffs, ideas and melodies. But it is another trend to hate on them by the new hipster metalheads.

I felt like I needed to drop my rating down a little after a fewmore listens. Still much better than Catharsis, but I think it's that middle section of the record that really weakens or dilutes the album as a whole.

The fact that we're even discussing the "potential" of a 30-year old band is kind of tragic. Only heard bits of the album but it seems just okay

Impressions after my first full listen of the CD;

Not bad, pretty good actually, not one of their best but I like it. Summary moved to soundoff feature.

This has something similar to The Blackening

A lot of the songs seem like they want to be 'Halo' maybe

I'm losing faith in this band to be honest

no certainly not, but it's severely underwhelming

I mean that as in, Machine Head has officially fallen off now and failed to recover with the lp though the evidence for this firmly points at Robb Flynn as the main cause of that because he sounds equally as obnoxious as his political cringe era material whether he intends to or not

basically even if machine head reinvents themselves will Robb Flynn's ego just keep making the music less likeable or what. Its all very incongruous

Shit band releases Shit album...
Nothing new to see here.

Can't stand these guys, don't even mind Flynn as much as most people, but the band have never been especially creative

nah they weren't amazingly inventive yeah but they still made some fucking good bangers which is definitely what made me appreciate them

....which is what they're slowly losing the ability to make without coming off as forced (moreso than the past)

I enjoyed bits of The Blackening but overall I can't stand these guys.

In my opinion, this album is a dumpster fire. I get they have their fans, but I can't stand this at all.
