i'm just wondering why KC is struggling to put up points against shithouse teams, where are the blowouts?
|

Where were the blowouts last year? Raiders beat them with the same team basically lol. Kc was in shambles last year and kelce hated the team. They still won
|

the zamir white legacy game

Oh man another prophetic reich call knew that dude was cheeks

“i'm just wondering why KC is struggling to put up points” no wr1, diminishing returns from Kelce, mahomes looking like a shadow of his former self, been missing pacheco til today even with decent/good play from kareem, sus OC

"i'm just wondering why KC is struggling to put up points against shithouse teams, where are the blowouts?"
this shouldn't be your only metric of a good team

i am also confident if detroit makes it to the SB (this implies the Chiefs will probably make it there), they will stomp them. that team is built to win right now
|

yeah, after years of watching the Patriots do this I know better. Andy Reid is a tremendous coach and knows how to win, simple as that

yeah patriots rarely blew teams out on a consistent basis, they were built for close games much like the chiefs are
|
| |
except 2007 where they were destroyers of course. even though they didn't win the super bowl maybe the best football team of all time.

"yeah patriots rarely blew teams out on a consistent basis, they were built for close games much like the chiefs are"
okay cmon guys this is just patently false lmao. the 2024 chiefs have a margin of victory of 4.5 rn. they had a margin of victory of 4.5 for the entire 2023 season as well
the patriots from 2001-2019 had a margin of victory below 4.5 exactly twice (2002, 2005). they had a margin of victory of 10+ in half of those seasons
yeah the chiefs certainly win games at the same rate but the average bb/brady pats team would wipe the floor with the 2023/24 chiefs. it took the pats all the luck they could muster to beat the legion of boom seahawks and the shanahan falcons. it takes this chiefs team all the luck they can muster to beat bryce young and aiden oconnell. they are not the same at all.

the main commonality is shitty division although the broncos and chargers are pretty good now. 1 combined playoff win out of the three the whole chiefs dynasty.
jets, bills and dolphins were all complete jokes during the whole dynasty outside of a couple years for the jets. doesn't take anything away of course just an interesting note.
|
| |
speaking of the the chargers and broncos... despite being 11-1 the chiefs only have the 3rd best MoV in their own division lmao
not to say they haven't earned the benefit of the doubt because they absolutely have... but i mean literally all signs point to this chiefs team being frauds on the level of the 2020 steelers and 2022 vikings... except for the fact that they are back to back super bowl champions.

"this shouldn't be your only metric of a good team"
They are literally 11-1 yet struggling against teams with absolutely turgid records. How is fucking Carolina coming within 1 score? The SAME Carolina that lost 40-7 to the Commanders???
Look at Detroit on the flipside. They've had some closies (mostly against division rivals like the Purple incarnation of Satan and Chicago) but like, Seahawks, they ran away with it. Jags, they torched them like no one's business. KC has NOT had a win that big this year, closest to it is 26-13 against New Orleans.

chiefs are just fucking around because they can. saving their important plays and effort for the playoffs because they are talented enough and well coached enough to coast. we do this every year but they will show up in the playoffs at arrowhead. always do.

Fair enough I guess but I guess I'm really just waiting for that 2007 Patriots style domination from KC and they haven't given it to us. I mean if not for that blocked FG my Broncos woulda damn won. Their record feels so fraudulent when you look at their play and output compared to Detroit's 11-1.
|
| |
tbf passing and scoring is just down across the league. less blowouts than usual. idk if we will ever see 2007 patriots again, moss/brady those numbers. even tho i'm not a pats fan i wish they won that super bowl because i love seeing history and definitely believe they are the best team of all time.

That would've been incredible honestly. But the hater in me will kinda forever love Eli Manning for breaking Patriots' hearts twice right there
|
| |
definitely, so funny he did it twice as huge dogs. legendary stuff. love coughlin too.

inside me there are two wolves
one wanted the perfect undefeated record to go down in history
the other loves that Eli Manning managed to have Brady's number twice where it mattered
