This is an AOTD contender, ingenious use of totalism in metal. Hypnotic repetition used to its maximum affect
I really hope the new track lives up to my expectations but I shan’t check

2nd new song came out today. much better than the first - actually listenable! - but also feels kinda tame and the gang vocals are an... interesting touch

Still think the (first) new track is excellent and very on brand for these guys.

I daren't check.
Maybe I should just in case (so that I know whether to prepare myself accordingly for any potential disappointments).

I'm genuinely considering 5ing this, which seems like a totally leftfield decision when there are other (probably) more deserving considerations (at least in longevity terms), but this hits like little else and achieves its goals so convincingly. I've been enjoying a lot of repetitive, droning or 'hypnotic' music recently and (as I've stated previously), it feels like this infusion of totalism was almost tailor-made for drawn-out, dissonant, wall-of-sound-style BM
I can see the lack of variety bothering some people, yet I'm thankful they didn't over-stuff this with contrasting ideas. It admittedly does very little beyond one thing, but that 'thing' happens to be perfect

I'm guessing by 'car alarm going off' I know which track y'all were talking about, lol. I avoided the singles. Personally I really enjoyed it on initial inspection.
Early days, but they've expanded their sound and explored new avenues whilst retaining a lot of what makes this so distinct. It's less repetitive and has greater emphasis on variety, yet within a somewhat similar sonic palate. I suppose this was to be expected considering this one was essentially a singular, slowly moving behemoth of a song, split up into segments.
I like it a lot thus far. Thankfully they didn't try and create Aveilut again

nice The Promise of Rain rating tect, I usually let things marinate but won't deny that to mark this very special occasion I wanted to be number uno (and absolutely trusted you would drop a number on release date!)
rating is certainly 'pending' but it seems worthy enough thus far

Ye, I’d been slinging the singles for a while now, and the remaining tracks didn’t disappoint. Have been listening to the new album all day now and absolutely love it.!I think the opener (the one everyone is saying annoying/car alarmy) is actually fucking fantastic. It is a different experience than AVEILUT, but very nearly as enchanting. Both albums hind of hold me under a trance. these guys are climbing my list of most anticipated artists.
