I don't follow much with what's trending on other websites. I didn't know this band had such a following on RYM. I just think their music is a bit fun and silly.

@park bizarrely defensive response to a non-targeted comment

not really defensive just setting the record straight to something youve been implying for some time now :]

i wish i liked all the things they do... on the other hand i have my electronic shit that they dont recognise, so maybe its a wash

I don't really follow what's trendy or a fad. I'm not trendy at all so there's no point in trying to stay with the in crowd. Nice to know people over at RYM like this group. I think they're fun, too but yeah... just like what you want. =)

John L is better than every track here, but this is the better album overall

This album completely destroys the new BCNR…but a lot of peeps have emotionally invested in that being the AOTY so I’m anticipating a backlash for this album for making things complicated and also not being the latest BCNR.

This is their best album by quite a margin and thus the best album from this ‘scene’ so far

Might be a 4.5

no need to compare this to Ants, makes this sound like washed-up art rock dropouts making a semi-meme album which whoops it is. in a vacuum its fun tho

Yeah there’s no way I’ll like this as much as Ants, this band is just too goofy to make anything that will click with me in the way that one did. I mean I guess these guys could mellow out with time but I gather this is not them doing that.

Ants is better than this, but let's not pretend it's any less easy to reduce that record to kitchen sink verbosity over the kind of sanitised instrumentals you'd hear bookending recruitment advertising

and crescendoes
