Albums great as i said on my sound off its really great to see Greg blaze his own trail as not just a vocalist but full blown artist. If he/dillinger dont return as a project itll suck but am glad to see them do their own thing

I think we should accept Dillinger is likely done. They accomplished what they wanted to and now they want to just be their own artists or do other projects. I know we're a bit spoiled by reunions this year, but they're never necessary.

as much as it really hurts to say, I think you’re right.
I’m so glad I was able to catch them live at least once, but man I would kill for a reunion tour.

Seeing Mouth of Ghosts live was so cathartic.

I caught them on the last sydney show. Am fine with them being sone i think any new material from them would be sort of phoned in. Ben gets to spend more time with his kids and do Farmer Ben things

Maaaybe in the future they'll do a one-off show or something but I wouldn't hold my breath.

As loose as Soldier seems to be, the cool thing is that its very experimental. Mr pussyato normalized too much his sound here. I'll do another spin here fs

I like how more focused this is though.

This is definitely more accessible, but I'd rather it be a focused work that uses its tools at a high level than a grab-bag of singles. The intensity this can bring makes it a cut about the crowd it's a part of, and the second half has some great slow burners.

I loved Child Soldier, partly because of its ambition and scattershot nature. Ought to give this a spin in the near future. Any synthpop tunes like those from The Black Queen?

this is as less ambitious as less scattered

Nah I reckon the synthpop is more of a Black Queen thing anyways. This is a separate project.
Still plenty of ambition here D3, don't go underrating the closer like that.

the closer reminded me of Puciato indeed, instead of Pussyato
now now, jokes aside. Will relisten to this now.

I won't deny it's accessible, but it has enough grit and intrigue to it to place it a cut above contemporaries.
Accessible isn't always this death sentence where the music is automatically bad.

this is definitely more accessible than his previous work, but the man is talented enough to pull it off
