Agreed, although a really bad 20 minute track tends to be VERY bad when compared to the time spent on something more digestible. I have always been huge on the tracklist sequencing of albums and oftentimes the flow of one song into another is almost the most important thing to me on an album. Whenever I release my own music I always pay super close attention to this detail, almost obsessively so

Based on your reasoning you really should check Moonsorrow-Viides luku. Two amazing compositions.

Same, in fact I go through albums that have potential but are/were poorly ordered and reimagine them. I'm definitely in the same boat and think that tracklisting and flow between tracks is huge.

Revisiting this, still amazing.
The vocal delivery in Shouting Within is just effing perfect.

Right?? The vocals and production on that song, and really in general across the LP, are astounding.

The brilliance of "Freedom" is really starting to sink in

Freedom is a weak link imo
Gold is such an amazing closer

Yeah I always loved Freedom's lyrics and the asinine swagger of the whole thing is a perfect fit
Gold is definitely top tier here though

I have played this so much over the last 2 weeks, but I'm still not sure if it I really like it that much or it's just a weird addiction?

I don’t remember the last time I heard an album so in need of editing

Yes that song is great. And a few others that she sings on. But I don’t like the other vocalist and in general a shorter runtime won’t help the generally lackluster lyrics. Definitely wanted to like this one more but oh well

Daytime Coma and Gold are two of the best songs I've heard in 2022. Head Heavy, Shouting Within, We Are The Same, Fear There & Everywhere and Every Single Day are also damn good. Where the album loses me at times is stuff like Enemy, Frying Paint, Alive, and Freedom (this one especially). I can def see thinking it's a mixed bag, but for my money it still contains some of the best songs of the year and all around has some ear-catching melodies
