Guilt Trip, Reservoir, Mabu and Dark Days are all certified bangers, but tbh I dont remember a single other track off S/T. I think TDIO and MS are both stronger releases.

"I think that record has more intensity, tighter hooks and definitely cleaner production than this, but the vibes on this are still real good" [2]
Will need to listen more, but overall this assessment is perfect

ah the great objective vs. subjective debate

time is a man-made construct, everything is meaningless, and we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively
Here's Tom with the weather.

the songs themselves are mostly really good, the problem lies with the production for me.

I feel the same way. Think I've reiterated that about a hundred times already but it seriously hinders what could have been their best album.
Morbid Stuff is still my favorite

The Dream is Over is my fav for sure. also agree that production is a buzz kill. songs are truly excellent. I really like it, but now I listen to it with an extra noise filter to make it more clear.

Rip Norman =( best song about a dying pet ever.
Without Love by Propagandhi is a close runner-up.

Also All Dead by Queen, one of my faves from them

Sleep In the heat is their best song yeah. I think he intentionally makes it unclear whether he’s talking about a pet or a person which makes it feel more powerful.
It gives the song more reach by being about death and loss in general, not necessarily just the feelings toward a lost lizard.

i don't know if that line about going to the vet reads that well with that in mind
|

It’s still pretty hard to pick up on the fact that he’s talking about his pet without outside context. And lines like “you were looking so stoned” sounds like he’s talking about a person. Which again I think is on purpose.
