Morrissey is alternately very funny, whiny, annoying and occasionally brilliant (but also a bit of a nutter). Early in his life, he angered right wingers and meat eaters. These days, he angers left-wingers and cancel culture. I'd never pay for a ticket to see him, because I never feel sure he's going to actually show up, or if he does show up, that he's not going to throw a tantrum and storm off. But his work with The Smiths was truly great, and some of his solo work has been great as well.
