Hey lucid I really like individual Big Thief songs but have never particularly appreciated them as an “album” band. If I sit through this, will it change my mind?

Yeah I've felt similar. Have always thought they made some amazing songs but was never wowed by a full album. Listened to this on a walk yesterday and it sounded great though. Definitely coming back to it.

Simulation Swarm is indeed a stunner. The outro, wow. But that’s where I stopped listening. I’ll have to take this in in doses. Not because it’s long…it’s just, it’s Daniel’s Big Thief problem. He loves them, but they make my mind drift elsewhere too often

We share many of the same favourites and least favourites, minus Dried Roses (which was admittedly a bit grating to me at first but grew on me a lot). Red Moon and Promise is a Pendulum are easily my least favourites

What's messy about it? It has a sort of nostalgic, dreamy sound to it that resonates with me. A bit melancholic but beautiful

Anyone else get the physical CD? I love the personal pictures and the color of the CD itself is so vibrant compared to the bare earthtone casing. Nothing crazy but it's nice to own.
