yeah, it's very 'safe' for them
I'm not digging it at all. I wasn't a massive fan of their Spiritual / Aathma era, but this new EP is on another level entirely. It has to be the worst Persefone so far

One Word from the new EP is a great jam. I didn't realize they lost their vocalist and replaced him. Digging the new EP as a whole but I am also kinda tired of metal bands just naming all their shit Lingua Ignota like its epic all on its own just to call something that. Kinda picky I know, but don't throw a fit about it. I'm having an off day

easily the worst thing they've ever done

They are a kind of weird band to me tbh. Their whole career has been just a weird evolution and not a stable sound in a way. Aathma and this come close to a cohesive unique identity. For me though personally Core overshadows everything else they have done. Another band i could call identity crisis the band. The other thing is though realistically most of their outputs quite good or passable but its just marred by the inconsistency of their own sound

IDK I keep jamming the new EP straight through nearly every day and I am loving it
