Pikadilly: "It's not post metal"
Review: "Californian post-metal."
How do we call the baby then?

I think there is a character limit somewhere. Do not ask me what it is.

They advertise themselves as post-metal but I ain't hearing it.
Sounds like a wood-distilled concoction of sludge, doom, and black.

It's in the doom leanings mostly. In order for these acts to stand out they've got to be a motley collection of...everything these days.

Doom is definitely the most prevalent ingredient on here.

This is post / doom / sludge with shitloads of shoegaze. There is not a single black metal riff on this album I could hear. Not that it matters. You can say it's sadistic noizz techno viking pop, I don't care.

This is the most convicing argument.

'This is post / doom / sludge with shitloads of shoegaze.'
this sounds more accurate that saying there's no post-metal, I can definitely hear SOME post-metal here
Whatever it is, it definitely be good... very good perhaps?

I don’t mind a bit of bb code usage. In the very least it shows some thoughts went into the process, emphasising name drops etc.

"That's.. why I am here." ;]
> Now, can we berid of the bold font?
I thought bold font for band names will look good, and I think I'll stick to it in the future too. Or is it really that bad?

Nice review garas, giving this a listen now, and digging it. I like the looseness and natural sound on here I think it works really well, and there are some parts where that bass is driving so hard and heavy in the mix, it makes me happy. It has a really good flow to it from Mirrors, to the instrumental first half of Demon Is Man where it unexpectingly turns heavy. The standout for me might be Mara of the Hollow Shadow. It's got that really groovy post-metal vibe that just works so well. Also that instrumental break halfway through Talus is gorgeous. There are some oddly jarring sections on here that I think work, but on first listen throw me off. Definitely an album worth multiple listens to fully appreciate and absorb. Thanks for sharing dude.
