yeah they’re part of the crop of the mid-major metal label bands designed to sell to hardcore kids who spend most of their life on tiktok.

relapse has gatecreeper and genocide pact, century media has frozen soul and sanguibuggaboo, and nuclear blast has these guys and fuming mouth, and there’s a few others floating around like creeping death.

it’s not all bad because I like some songs these bands have put out, but it’s clear they were mostly created and marketed by PR firms to capitalize on meme metal.

i bet the guys from lich king are wishing they were about 10 years younger right now

also pretty weird that undeath got an NPR article about them before the long running band they got their sound from

that being said im fine with death metal being popular and people diggin the caveman riffs and whatnot but when i saw that shit about 200 stab wounds opening for metallica i was like come on man. whats next? black midi opening for billy joel?

then again bands like fetus and CC are arguably more popular than they’ve ever been so I’m glad some of the OG’s are making some cash
