Starting to think singles #2 and #3 may have been the two strongest songs on the album but it's probably still a narrow 4.5?

> Hubardo would like a word with you.

What song on Hubardo has proper screams or growls?

Floodgate and Black Stone come to mind, the latter being kinda hilarious.

its funny, i really haven't jammed this band much. my most listened to album by them is Coffins on Io and i've barely touched their metal stuff at all.

My top 3 are Void, The Necklace, and either Brethren or Tower.

I like this but it's not better than Coffins, not a chance.

I wouldn't compare them. They sound totally different. Seems best to compare this directly to Hubardo.

I'm inevitably going to compare it with their past work haha, isn't that the point of a discog?

Just disagree with the notion that it's their best since Hubardo.

Especially considering I think Coffins is better than Hubardo to begin with.

Would agree that coffins is better. Definitely less replaceable, which counts for a lot. Toby said himself that this album is not experimental.

But it may be better than Hubardo. Not sure.

Haven't really checked in with Toby since Hubardo, but the album cover enticed me to check this out. Pretty cool stuff but honestly I just want to listen to Choirs now

Choirs probably Top 5 albums of any genre of music for me. It's on another league or dimension, I don't even know where to put it.

Three listens in and it’s very nice but also not knocking me off my feet the way I’m used to with Toby? Would only confidently put it above Gamma and PHoBoS. Like agreed it sounds prob closest to certain bits off Hubardo but without all the strange structural twists and turns that make that one so interesting in the first place.
