Final assessment: the front half is actually really good but around "Fall for Me" it loses some traction. "Atlantic" to "The Love You Want" is pretty nice though.

I haven't listened to this more than twice but it seems like the highest points of Sundowning are just better than almost anything here.

i admittedly didn't give Sundowning much of a chance as a whole, I just kinda came back to the ones I liked but the fact that I don't have that problem with this one says something.

it's kinda geared toward more like newer Leprous or some of the newer Pain of Salvation stuff

The intro to the album feels exactly the same formula as Sundowning - slow song that builds up into the heaviest and best song on the album as track 2 and then the rest of the album is mostly a drop in quality as with Sundowning too
Also Telomeres sounds exactly like Sextape by Deftones, the whole time I had Chino singing ‘toniiiiiiiiight - the sound of the waves collide’ in my head
