It's really good. Some of their songs are pretty top-notch for the genre.

Nevertheless, the album itself lacks on depth and consistency. I am not happy with the track order either. This album could be better, if there would have been more interludes, breaks or experimentations in the songs - but somehow Courtney's vocals start to annoy after certain playtime

This band does write very good stand-alone singles these days. However, their songwriting style is not perfect for a full-length album in my opinion.

Well seeing as this thread already sucks let me ask a dumb question:

Aside from the Sam Carter feature are all vocals done by the female vocalist? Songs like Holy Roller for example?

Starting to think this is a little boring. Might not have the best replay value

It's definitely not more than a 4.0, but I agree, it could fall back in a 3.5 for me

The Summit and Eternal Blue are easily the best songs here.

Honorable mentions to Garden and Halcyon

I don’t mind the guest spot but how do you get a Sam Carter feature and not get a ‘bleh’ before the breakdown though?

Ah I’ve always thought of it as a kind of trademark, thought it used to add a good emphasis to a drop, nothing to be ashamed of.

The same way that slipknot used to a have a big buildup on their first two albums with Corey and then his long ‘yeah’ for emphasis as it all came in.

Anyway, unfair to be talking about other vocalists in this thread where we have a top performance going on. She sounds absolutely savage on Holy Roller especially and I love that live vid on the last page.
