There are some really great ideas on here. Despite the synth based sound, she hasn’t abandoned the beauty that her country and folk songs have. Liking it as much as her other albums now but I am pretty sure Golden Hour will still reign supreme.

Watched the film as a first listen, found it to be a mediocre project. Mostly flimsy downtempo songs with sterile lyricism. Poor mixing/mastering overall. Seems like a case where an artist grabs me with a classic album then I have to endure disappointment with the rest of their discog.

I think she’ll bounce back. Honestly just feel she went too hard for the breakup concept without actually putting too much emotion into it. It doesn’t evoke like it should. Still mostly good though.

I imagine it's uncomfortable to breakthrough into the mainstream, have a large audience awaiting your next move, then essentially be forced into this album concept due to life circumstances. She'll likely feel more liberated with the next one.
