'I've taken shots at old school (mostly Emeritus) site hacks for endlessly comparing shit to Kid A, but this one was warranted I assure y'all!'

Yeah I noticed that. I hadn't ever thought to draw any sort of parallels between them, even in a yin/yang counterpart(s) sort of way - I guess that's what happens when you're almost always looking at things retrospectively, from an era you have no first-hand experience of, really (dates become difficult to pin down). Sure, I was old enough, but it wasn't on my radar. Two of my all-time faves, this being the more recent love.

Slightly weird(er) Johnny read than usual, but satisfying nonetheless.

Tbh I'd never have associated them with one another until I started listening to indietronica and glitch pop more actively (both obvs closely interrelated); I think it's q easy to see Vespertine as a didn't-invent-this-but... big name surrogate source text for the latter in the same way that Kid A is for the former. So, uh, that is why you should chartstalk more maybe xd

jesper I'm not sure if that was supposed to be sit or fit bc my handwriting is shite and this was transcribed from notes, but fit is better than syntax needed shifting oops

mmm probably around the same. This was a big eye-opener to me at the time, but I didn't really understand what was special about it, and then when I got into the rest of Bjork I had a lazy patch where I kinda assumed I "got" it without having any real sense how enduring these tracks/this sound is. time time time

A four-way collaborative album comprised of fifteen songs of stygian devotion, spanning over 90 minutes of music. Executed by four of the most uncompromising and zealous bands.

“We are The Murderer’s black seed, eternally.

A conjoined working to receive further blessing of the Sinister Gods”

After years of blood, sweat and sacrifice World Terror Committee is proud to present SamaeLilith: A Conjunction of The Fireborn. This is a conceptual split release, with each band focused on venerating a different aspect of The Bloodline of Fire, culminating in a recording that works as a cohesive whole, even greater than the sum of its individual parts. These are four sonically very different bands, each pushing the limits of what is known and expected of their art, whilst still honouring tradition. However, there is a common thread that ties this seamlessly together. This is particularly apparent when reading the lyrics – since despite being written independently, the language used throughout is cohesive in the strange and unusual choice of vernacular. It is almost as if the words were penned by a single unseen hand.

SamaeLilith is the outcome of an unyielding and timeless fervour that dwells deep within the hearts of all artists involved. Indeed it is this very same shared formless essence from where this work derives, manifesting itself as a veritable and blessed poison - A Conjunction of The Fireborn.

To complete this work, Vamperess Imperium has created a magnificent piece of art to adorn

the cover of the album, a striking piece of artwork to give visual representation for each of the four sides of music and their respective holy currents, as well as a lavish layout design to unite the words and music contained within.

yeah anything with celesta sounds good, but this is not enough to counterbalance that wearisome chorus, and nah the ~angelic choir~ at the end is exactly the type of shit im allergic to

the real reason not to skip it if anything is the clavichord midway through, very based

sun in my mouth is too short to bore, and it is good connective tissue - imagine the "echo" outro going straight into that goofy ass heirloom beat
